12/5/2011-Heart of Florida United Way Invests in Results
Heart of Florida United Way has established a framework for positively affecting the root causes of problems that affect people’s lives in our community. As part of that initiative, competitive funding for programs is based on a focus in the areas of:
· Building Safe Communities through Education
· Improving Financial Stability
· Developing Healthy Children & Families
· Alleviating Hunger & Homelessness
Community Coordinated Care for Children, Inc. (4C) is proud to have been selected to receive an award of $400,124 under the Improving Financial Stability (IFS) investment area for the School Readiness (SR) Program. United Way’s Improving Financial Stability area focuses on prevention by addressing the root causes of financial instability with evidenced-based initiatives/programs that have measurable impacts at the community level. Families in the SR Program receive child care financial assistance that supports them on the road to self-sufficiency and provides quality early learning environments for their children while they work.
