Child Care Food Program

The Child Care Food Program (CCFP) is federally funded and regulated by Food and Nutrition Service (FNS), U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). In Florida, the Department of Health, Food and Nutrition Management Office administers the CCFP.
Child Care of Southwest Florida sponsors child care centers, as well as licensed family child care home providers in this program.
Nutrition is an important part of a good child care program. Children need a variety of foods each day in order to meet their energy demands and to help them build strong bodies and minds. No one food provides children with all the nutrients their young bodies require to grow and stay healthy.
The CCFP strives to improve the diets of children in child care and to promote nutrition education.
If you are a licensed Family Child Care Home or Center and would like more information about the Child Care Food Program, call Beth Goldberg at 239-936-0899 or email
